Turkey set to become a global medical hub with Bio Istanbul

Bio Istanbul is a groundbreaking project in Turkey that is expected to cost two billion dollars. Located in Istanbul at the Resneli Forest in Başakşehir, this global medical center will feature a unique architecture, infrastructure, and environmental plan. It is anticipated that this project will elevate Turkey to a level where it could potentially receive the Nobel Prize in medicine.

Spanning 25,000 cubic meters squared, Bio Istanbul will be a technology and research valley where leading scientists can collaborate on creating innovative medical solutions. Serving as a regional Research and Development base for the biomedical, medical, and pharmaceutical industries, this project will cater to over 500 million people in the region.

With a focus on pharmaceuticals, medical technology, academia, communication technologies, and health care services, Bio Istanbul will be the first of its kind in the region. This project, financed by a joint investment from Bio City Development Co (BCDco), Turkey’s Housing Development Administration (TOKİ), and the Ministry of Environment and urban planning, will also include residential and commercial areas, providing job opportunities for 40,000 people.

As the first specialized pediatrics hospital in Turkey, Bio Istanbul will draw in leading scientists from around the world with its top-notch technology and facilities. The project aims to bridge the gap in the biomedical industry in Turkey and contribute to reducing the country’s annual pharmaceutical imports.

Overall, Bio Istanbul’s innovative design, infrastructure, and focus on sustainability make it a significant contribution to city life and a game-changer in the medical field.
