TT Ventures invests in startups promoting sustainability and innovation



In 2023, startups focusing on environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions have attracted significant investments globally. According to the Global Sustainable Investment Review, over $30.3 trillion has been invested in sustainable assets worldwide.

In Türkiye, new regulations are expected to drive further growth in this sector. Türk Telekom, a leading telecommunications and technology company in Türkiye, is actively investing in Evreka, a smart waste management company that is revolutionizing waste management and recycling processes through digitalization.

Global investments in sustainable asset management have increased by 20% outside the U.S., with a focus on transitioning to net-zero emissions and addressing environmental challenges. Startups like Commonwealth Fusion Systems and Aurora Solar have received substantial investments in 2023 and 2024, reflecting the growing interest in technologies that offer environmental solutions.

Türk Telekom Ventures, through its venture capital investments and startup accelerator program, plays a vital role in supporting innovative startups in the sustainability and environmental sectors. The company is committed to investing in solar power plants and the E4 Electric Vehicle Charging Network project, contributing to eco-friendly technologies.

Evreka, one of the startups supported by Türk Telekom Ventures, aims to enhance waste management efficiency by digitalizing processes and promoting a circular economy model. Other startups like Optiyol, GreenLink, Workybe, and Some Carbon are also making significant contributions to sustainability by reducing carbon emissions, optimizing energy consumption, and developing innovative solutions.

Mastercard has launched the Lighthouse program in Türkiye to accelerate fintech startups to international standards. The program focuses on key areas such as payment systems, cybersecurity, sustainability, and SME solutions, providing startups with training, support, and access to investors and business partners.

Additionally, Işbank’s Workup Gaming Program is supporting startups in the gaming technology sector, offering training, business development support, and connections to investors and publishers. Through partnerships with accelerators like INVEXEN and investment funds like WePlay Ventures and DOMiNO Ventures, startups in Türkiye are receiving valuable support to scale and grow in the global market.
